Ajax was found wandering on a major road in Sydney, Australia. He was emaciated, riddled with fleas and bleeding (someone had crudely cut holes into his ears). It’s likely that Ajax escaped from an abusive owner. He had acute separation anxiety and it took some time for him to live peacefully.
Today, he is happy and healthy. He has a terrific sense of humour and loves to dance by throwing himself onto the floor and kicking his legs up in the air, while an audience applauds and cheers him on. Fortunately for Ajax, he was adopted by his rescuers. In Australia, pets like Ajax who cannot find homes are euthanised; in fact, tens of thousands are killed every year in Australia because they simply could not find someone to love them before their deadline.
