The 8th Penny Marathon will take place on Sunday, 21 July 2019 in Athens (Greece), Kalamata (Greece), Salamina (Greece), Prague (Czech Republic), Sydney (Australia) and Vancouver, Washington (US).
A free run, cycle and walk event to raise awareness and money for animals in need. The route takes place in Brighton Le Sands and includes shorter legs of 3 and 6 kms or the full 22kms. Funds raised help to save the lives of suffering animals.
The Penny Marathon provides a voice to these animals and support to the people and groups that fight to save their lives. The money we raise through donations and sales is primarily used for various stages of the rescue–rehome process, such as medical emergencies, boarding, food and bedding, spay and neutering, vaccinations, travel and other essential costs.
