Jilly’s story

When Jilly was found, she was so little that she had yet to open her eyes. She was one of five kittens found in a cardboard box dumped in a street in Athens, Greece. They were only a few days old and needed milk to survive. A stray cat who had recently given birth became a wet nurse and, fortunately, took to the orphaned kittens and allowed them to drink her milk.

Not only did all five survive but they went on to find families that would love them forever. Jilly’s owner says she is an independent cat who doesn’t like too much pampering. She will tell you when she’s had enough affection, thank you very much! Instead, give her a box or a paper bag and she’ll be amused for hours.
